FGSI AFRICA

FGSI Africa is the regional platform of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology (FGSI) in Africa. The region promotes science, technology and innovation among young people across the continent, while fostering cooperation, cultural exchange and international collaboration through educational and non-formal learning activities. It brings together national and local organisations that work to strengthen scientific culture, creativity and youth engagement in science and technology.Historically, FGSI Mediterranean was founded in 2000 with the commitment to organise an Expo-Sciences for Northern Africa and Southern Europe, creating an important platform for scientific exchange between these neighbouring regions. This regional initiative has since been unified within FGSI Africa, strengthening coordination and regional cooperation while preserving the legacy of Mediterranean collaboration.FGSI Africa supports and connects its member organisations through cooperation, networking and shared initiatives, providing local and global opportunities to engage young people in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).
